Events

Gaining promotion in 2005 to the FA Women's Premier League was a major achievement, and being voted Club of the Year in our first season in the Northern Division was tremendous. But these achievements were only the beginning of what we hope will be a long and succesful life in the Premier League of Women's football.

We are an ambitious club, building teams we hope our city and surrounding area will be proud of as women's football becomes more popular. We don't want to stay in the Northern Division for very long. We want to earn promotion to the National Division to challenge Arsenal, Leeds, Donny Belles and the like, but to do so we need to be able to afford the increased travel expenses, including overnight stays in London and beyond.

Those associated with Newcastle United Women's FC know that since the club was formed most of our income has been through grants, charitable donations, and player subscriptions. This form of income is still as important today as it ever was, but if we are to succeed nationally we need a commercially stable financial base.

So we need to attract serious commercial sponsorship for the coming seasons, and to do so we are staging a series of events to raise awareness of our club, and what we have to offer potential sponsors:-

the association with Newcastle United
the appearance and support of players at their events
advertising in matchday programmes
a presence on our website (500 visitors per day)
appearance on strips and training kit
sponsorship of competitions, awards and trophies
inclusion in our own advertising
